About this event

During the tour of Omnia MakerSpace, we will explore the equipment used to create various useful items, such as laser and vinyl cutters. The laser cutter allows us to cut shapes from plywood, MDF, and acrylic, while the vinyl cutter-printer prints and cuts out stickers. We will discuss the process of preparing images for cutting and printing, and we will make a Tic-Tac-Toe game.
What you will do

We will get introduced to the laser cutter, discuss the different types of lasers and their applications, and learn the principles of preparing images for cutting, cut out a Tic-Tac-Toe game. We will also get introduced to the vinyl cutter and cut out stickers.
How to prepare and what to bring

No advance preparation is required. The event takes place with the parents present. We will meet the group in the foyer by the main entrance at 13:30 and proceed to the Omnia MakerSpace.
